PREN-FD contains active folate. Which means it will be absorbed by the body faster and will not have toxic effects to the body.
Normal folic acid needs to be processed in the body first before it can be absorbed. If there are any unprocessed folic acid, it may have toxic side effects to the mother and/or baby.
